History of Swarovski
As some assume, Swarovski's origins are not from eastern Europe, they hail from a quaint Austrian village. Founded in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski. The museum was initially opened in 1995 and designed by the multimedia artist Andre Heller to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Swarovski Company. After its grand expansion from 2013 to 2015, Swarovski Krystallwelten now sprawls over 7.5 hectares.
Swarovski diamonds are considered the epitome of luxury even though they are not real diamonds. They are a form of glass that is converted into lead crystals at high temperatures by a special process that’s patented by D Swarovski. But the cut of Swarovski crystal beads is superior and brilliant. This makes them rarer and more special. Also, Swarovski crystals are stocked by only a few selected customers.
To experience the beauty of this man-made crystal over 600,000 tourists visit the Swarovski crystal world in a year. And what makes it more interesting is, 8% of those visitors are from India.
