Embark on a city tour of Moscow with full day guide, covering Red Square, Kremlin and St Basils Cathedral.
Historically, The Square was meant to serve as Moscow's main marketplace. It was also the site of various
public ceremonies and proclamations, & occasionally a coronation for Russia's Tsars would take place.
Lenin's Mausoleum, also known as Lenin's Tomb, situated on Red Square in the centre of Moscow, is a
mausoleum that serves as the resting place of Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin. His preserved body has been
on public display there since shortly after his death in 1924, with rare exceptions in wartime
Kremlin Moscow, is what The White House is to America. It symbolizes both the Russian & Soviet Union
Power &authority. Built by outstanding Russian & foreign architects from 1482 -1492, Kremlin which
means ‘Fortress inside a City’, holds the Government of the Russian Federation. It is the prestigious resi
dence of the President now, but historically speaking, it was the great Prince Zudal whose residence it
was much earlier, who gave the world, its stone walls and towers, and the miracle of its cathedrals, mural
paintings and the Great Hall which witnessed State ceremonies, giving Kremlin an outstanding & univer
sal value. Kremlin, after 200 years of obscurity that ended in 1918, has become the seat of Governance
ever since.
St. Basil's Cathedral (outside view) is Moscow's and maybe even Russia's most recognizable sight and
one of its architectural treasures. Then visit The Tsar Bell, the Guinness Book of the World record Bell.
The Tsar Bell is one of the highlights of Moscow Kremlin ensemble; it's the biggest bell in the world and
weighs about 200 tons and a height of 6.14 meters but no one has ever heard its ringing. The bell was
broken during a big fire and it was never lifted on a bell tower. Later visit Tsar Cannon, the largest bom
bard by calibre in the world in Guinness Book of World Records. It is a major tourist attraction in the
ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin. The Tsar Cannon is made of bronze and weighs 39.312 tonnes and has
a length of 5.34 m. Its bronze-cast barrel has an internal diameter of 890 mm and an external diameter of
1,200 mm. After the French invasion Napoleon Bonaparte considered removing it to France as a war
trophy. The Tsar Cannon is a unique item in the Kremlin’s artillery collection.
