Lake Tekapo is known for its beautiful watercolour as well as its proximity and access to the Southern Alps. The town is close to Mount Cook National Park and home to lots of great attractions including one of New Zealand’s only Dark Sky Reserves. Later transfer to Mt. Cook. Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. Its height, as of 2014, is listed as 3,724 metres. It sits in the Southern Alps, the mountain range that runs the length of the South Island. A popular tourist destination, it is also a favourite challenge for mountain climbers. Aoraki Mount Cook National Park is home of the highest mountains and the longest glaciers. It is alpine in the purest sense - with sky-scraping peaks, glaciers and permanent snow fields, all set under a star-studded sky. Transfer to Christchurch for dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast at hotel. Christchurch is known for its English heritage, is located on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island. Flat-bottomed punts glide on the Avon River, which meanders through the city centre. On its banks are cycling paths, the green expanse of Hagley Park and Christchurch Botanic Gar dens. In 2010 and 2011, earthquakes destroyed many of the historic centre’s stone-built buildings. Whilst there is no time limit to spend up there, recommended visiting time is about 1 hour to complete your Sky Tower experience. Thousands of glow-worms light up the Glow worm Caves. The vast Ruakuri Cave features waterfalls and limestone formations. West, Mangapohue Natural Bridge is a high limestone arch over Mangapohue Stream. North east of the village, Otorohanga Kiwi House shelters several species of the rare native kiwi bird. There are three caves that make up the Waitomo caves network, each with it’s own unique experience. It’s also home to a living Maori village and the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, with traditional wood carving and weaving schools. Evening enjoy Skyline Rotorua, Jump on board one of our eight-seater Gondola cabins and experience spectacular views of Lake Rotorua, the city and steaming geothermal vistas. The 900-metre long Dop pelmayr cableway system will transport you and your friends on a gentle, scenic ride up to the Skyline Rotorua complex. Later transfer to Rotorua.
